Barossa Bourne

Barrosa Bourne is a product of the hard work of 2020 Barossa Winemaker of the Year – Stuart Bourne. With an Agricultural Science Degree in Oenology and Viticulture, Stuart Bourne landed in the Barossa in 2002.

As well as making award-winning red wines, Stuart traveled extensively in both domestic and overseas markets, soon becoming one of the region’s most articulate advocates.  He then took his skills to Chateau Tanunda, where he continued to accumulate wine accolades.

In 2015, Stuey joined Soul Growers as Senior Winemaker, developing strong relationships with grape growers, driving their single vineyard program, and highlighting individual sub-regions. Again, as well as making wine, Stuey hosts lunches, tastings, and wine events, building strong relationships with current and new customers, both domestically and internationally.

Barossa Bourne is born out of a rich tapestry of many individual small family plots, each bringing something beautiful and unique to its wines. Open-fermented, basket pressed, and aged in older oak barrels. Traditional handling to let the region and its vineyards be seen, smelt, and tasted as they should – with very little intervention.
